Epic Guy and Ninham

We saw the most epic thing on the bike trail today. This dude was on a skateboard, rowing it down the path with an awesome skateboard paddle or something. He was like fifty and still rockin' it. He even looked all epic. And the way he was on that skateboard was just awesome. Without a doubt, that is the coolest thing I have seen in a while.

In other news Alex and I are going to spend the night on Ninham. It'll be awesome. I'll let you know how that goes!

I think I have the same book.. is it reddish maroon? I'm pretty sure it's the same one :P
The only reason I'd want to join a temple is to learn more about the practice- the holidays/festivals, etc etc. I'm trying to find as much as I can through reading, but that's easier said than done. One day, I'll just have to get off my arse and find a way to actually read the hieroglyphs lol.

The cover is the same color. It's probably the same book. A good way to learn hieroglyphs is to get one of those self-teach books. I have one that's supposed to be one of the best. It's confusing as hell, though. A lot of times they wrote things out so it would look good. They were like the original graphic artists, lol.

lol, yeah, I've heard that. More often than not, no two symbols will look the same because they liked to "color them in" with various designs and the like. I'm starting to recognize glyphs, but I have no idea how to put them together to make words. And I get super lost on the determinatives.
Its like trying to learn kanji.

I love learning languages. I feel fortunate that it's easy for me. Arabic was a synch. That's a great language to learn. Ancient Egyptian is hard, though. No doubt about that. I can speak a little but I'm still just learning hieroglyphs. I know that "Tua merr tini" means "I love you"! Good luck with learning! You probably know a lot more than I do!
